The lodge is located on a phenomenal fishery, McGavock Lake, which is home to an abundance of big northern pike and lots of walleyes.

Trophy lake trout and lake whitefish are also available for anglers to target.

The main draw for guests on McGavock is the trophy pike, with a forty-inch fish being caught on a daily occurrence. There are many different fly-out lakes and a number of portages to choose from, and each area is loaded with fantastic fishing spots.

The lodge employees sixteen different guides that all have a ton of knowledge of the local area and are excellent boat handlers, cooks and story tellers.

Guests can choose between an American plan and outpost plan depending on what they prefer.

The lodge has six contemporary lakeside cabins. Each are well appointed, completely modern cabins.
