Cedar Lake Lodge
Cedar Lake Lodge is located on a 100-acre Ontario island on one of the best lakes in Ontario trophy walleye, musky, and smallmouth bass. The lake is approximately 150 miles north of International Falls, Minnesota. Most guest cross the border at International Falls, Minnesota into Fort Frances, Ontario.
All of their cabins have the modern conveniences including electricity, refrigerator, stove, running water. Wood stoves for heat and comfortable beds with all bedding & pillows included. Full kitchens equipped with fridge, stove, dishes, electric griddle, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, pots & pans, microwave and all utensils. Although we are a north woods camp, all of our cabins are equipped with private three piece bathrooms.
Cedar Lake Lodge has a community feel with a nightly campfire where guest can swap fish stories and enjoy s’mores. They also offer a supper in the lodge for all our guests at six o’clock every Tuesday evening.
Angling Opportunities
Cedar Lake and its connecting bodies of water create a 15,000 acre paradise. At Cedar Lake Lodge, anglers will experience fishing trophy walleye, muskie, northern pike, smallmouth bass, jumbo perch, crappie and whitefish. Visitors can except excellent fishing no matter what species your looking to chase.
Due to the size and layout of the lake anglers have tons of great spots to choose from. Cedar has all different types of structure like underwater reefs, points, flats, and weeds beds. Anglers can fish a number of different ways and have success doing it all. Casting, trolling, and jigging methods are all very effective out on Cedar for a number of different species.
Fishing Gear You Should Pack To Cedar Lake Lodge
If you are planning on heading to Cedar Lake there are a few baits you have to bring. Since Cedar and it’s connecting lakes are such a place for multispecies it pays to have a variety of baits.
Walleye / Perch
- Short shank Jigs (colors gold, silver, green, and orange)
- Jigging Raps (size 7, all colors work)
- Jigs and plastics (4-inch plastics, all colors work)
Musky / Northern Pike
- Bucktails
- spinnerbaits
- large swimbaits
- big spoons
Crappies
- 1/8 jigs (can be paired with small plastics or minnows)
