Ty Sjodin and friend, Garrett Haglin take a mid summer trip to Sunset Country, Ontario for some Eagle Lake Island Lodge walleyes.
Eagle Lake Island Lodge Walleyes
Eagle Lake Island Lodge is located on Eagle Lake, Ontario and is a short six minute boat ride from the mainland.
It is about thirty minutes from Dryden, Ontario and only two and a half hours from International Falls, Minnesota.
Eagle Lake is known for trophy musky and walleye fishing, but also has great opportunities for smallmouth bass, northern pike, and lake trout.
At 68,000 acres and over seventy miles long Eagle Lake is loaded with all different types of structure to fish all season long. Eagle lake is stuffed full of walleyes and there are plenty of big ones mixed in as well.
Walleyes exceeding the thirty inch mark are relatively common at Eagle Lake Island Lodge.
Eagle Lake Island Lodge has eight beautiful, rustic cabins including the main lodge.
The main lodge has a bar, shuffle board, pool table, satellite tv, and high speed internet available for all guest.
Each cabin has a it’s own unique character and they all have a beautiful view of Eagle Lake.
They are all powered by a generator that is tucked away from the lodges they also feature woodstoves or propane heaters. Linens, pillows, blankets and towels are all provided.
